Our Mission
F.E.A.R. exists to give a voice to parents and families who believe the system can do better.
Through education, advocacy, public awareness, and reform efforts, we seek to create a family court system that is fair, transparent, and truly focused on the well-being of children.
Equality
Fathers deserve to be heard, respected, and judged on their actions, not stereotypes. Every parent should be evaluated on the facts and afforded equal treatment under the law.
Accountability
False allegations, professional misconduct, judicial bias, and financial incentives that perpetuate conflict must be exposed and challenged. Accountability is essential to restoring trust in the family court system.
Reform
The family court system must return to its fundamental purpose: serving the best interests of children.
Families deserve a system that promotes stability, truth, and meaningful parent-child relationships, not one that rewards conflict and prolongs litigation.

For nearly two decades, I navigated the family court system as a father fighting to remain present in my son’s life.
What began as a custody dispute evolved into a years-long journey through allegations, litigation, financial strain, professional consequences, and emotional exhaustion.
Held Hostage is a deeply personal account of that journey and an examination of the broader systems, incentives, and practices that shape the experiences of countless families across America.
This book is not simply about one father's story.
It is about resilience, perseverance, and the question many parents ask themselves:
How much are you willing to sacrifice for your child?
Why This Matters
BIAS ISN'T JUSTICE.
Justice requires fairness.
Fairness requires objectivity.
And objectivity cannot exist where bias is allowed to influence outcomes.
No parent should receive preferential treatment because of gender. No parent should be disadvantaged because of stereotypes. No child should lose meaningful access to a loving parent because of assumptions that were never challenged.
Children Lose
When meaningful parent-child relationships are disrupted, children lose stability, identity, and emotional connection.
Fathers Are Drained
Years of litigation, legal fees, evaluations, and ongoing conflict create emotional and financial exhaustion.
The System Profits
Conflict often sustains an industry. Reform requires exposing incentives that keep families trapped in prolonged litigation.
